Is “JIT” ever used positively, or is it always negative?

Depending on the situation, "JIT" can be used positively or negatively, thus it's not always a bad thing.  For instance, in a playful or protective manner, an elder sister may refer to their younger brother as a "JIT."  It's just a non-offensive way to express "younger guy" among some friend groups.  But tone matters.  It might convey a negative message that someone is not deserving of serious consideration when it is used in a dismissive or sarcastic manner.
